The Incredibly Sad Way Joey Feek Prepared Her Daughter for Life Without Mom

Image
From Country Living Nearly a month after country singer Joey Martin Feek  died from cervical cancer , her family is picking up the pieces and figuring out what “normal” means now. Her husband, Rory, has already  enrolled their daughter , Indiana, into a special-needs preschool that Joey loved. And now, he’s revealing the steps Joey took to help little Indy adjust to life without her mother. In a new post on his blog,  This Life I Live , Rory wrote that Joey purposely distanced herself from her daughter in her final days, which had to be a gut-wrenching decision. In November of last year, when she entered hospice care, Joey realized that she had to make Rory the main person in Indiana’s life. And that meant intentionally separating herself from her daughter. “She started going against everything in her being that told her ‘time was short,’ so hold her baby even tighter… and longer… and more,” Rory wrote, “and instead, she handed the baby to me, and sat alone in a bed and watch

Police in Jupiter, Florida, charged Corey Lewandowski, 42, with intentionally grabbing and bruising the arm of Michelle Fields, then a reporter for the conservative news outlet Breitbart, when she tried to question Trump at a campaign event on March 8. Republican front-runner Trump repeatedly defended Lewandowski, saying he was innocent and would fight the charges while continuing as campaign manager. Lewandowski was a good man who was "very, very seriously maligned, and I think it's very unfair," he said. "I told him I think he

Discrimination Tag Hovers Around The Head Of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu

Image
By Okechukwu Okugo In November 2015, the Israeli government voted to allow the immigration of some 9100 Ethiopians, known as Falash Mura, descendants of Ethiopian Jews who converted to Christianity, many under duress, in the 18th and 19th centuries CE. But on March 7, 2016, an official from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's office came out and announced to the members of Knesset, the cancellation or cessation to implement this lawful vote, with an excuse of budgetary constraints. This led, on Sunday, March 20, more than 2,000 Ethiopian Jews many of them frail and old, leaning on their canes, coming out to protest against what they called a clear case of unwarranted discrimination. They marched in Jerusalem carrying pictures of these relatives separated from them in Israel for many years. Some of their signs read: "Stop the suffering, stop the discrimination, stop the racism." and "Our children, our parents are in Ethiopia." AFP had reported, how

Robotics Developers Want To Use Sex With Robots To Divide The Attention Given To Women

SOURCE:  Nellie Eden, Refinery 29 UK NOTE: This article was published with the title:  What Do These Robots Mean For The Future Of Sex? If you feel overwhelmed by the presence of your iPhone in your life, you might be alarmed by the news that the world's most sophisticated robots may be assimilated into our everyday lives by 2050, according to experts.  For those unfamiliar, SXSW is a week-long, trendy, if not seriously geeky festival of film and culture, panels and discussions. This year, one of the strangest – and either most disturbing or most compelling, depending on where you stand – talks was delivered by  Hiroshi Ishiguro , a Japanese inventor and roboticist. The Osaka University professor was speaking about human-like androids and what roles they might fill within society in the near future. Ishiguro discussed his greatest and most marvellous creation to date: a “Geminoid” (robot in his own likeness) whose human appearance has been deftly created through with a pl

Lionel Messi Broke a Woman's Arm With a Missed Shot

Image
SOURCE:  Jack Holmes, Esquire He might be  the world's greatest player , but Lionel Messi isn't often recognized for his power. His low center of gravity and balance while running at pace make him nearly impossible to knock off the ball, however, and he's won plenty of physical challenges against much bigger players. But he can also call on  a deceptively formidable shot , especially on his left foot. With very little back lift, he can generate plenty of power. An unlucky fan discovered how much force the Argentine has at his disposal at a match yesterday between Villareal and Barcelona. Messi cut inside off the right wing toward the top of the box and unleashed an explosive left-foot effort that flew over the crossbar and kept rising. A female fan stuck up an arm to protect herself, and the ball struck with enough force to break it. Video after shows her in noticeable pain, and she seems to go into a kind of shock while trying to leave her seat to get medical atten

Nikki Womack, who lives near the golf course, said she and her daughter saw the plane fly very low over their neighbor's home before crashing on the golf course, The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/1UHBssc ) reported. "I thought maybe it would flip, but it just hit real softly, pretty much," Womack said. "It kind of bounced up" as it scraped through a sand trap and came to rest just short of the green. Womack dialed 911 as she ran outside to see if she could help. The boy climbed out of the wreckage first and was bleeding from the top of his hea
