California Fire Leaves Many Homes Stranded And Helpless
By Okechukwu Okugo
In Kern County near Bakersfield, forest fire has wrecked havoc leaving many people in its wake, homeless and stranded.
Thousands were left without electricity, with at least 200 houses destroyed and 2 people dying from the result of the inferno, according to ABC News, Good Morning America.
It was reported according to the News that Marshall of the Kern County Fire Department described the cause of the fire as "Mother nature and a spark colliding," and describing as at today's morning, 28th of June, the fire, as 40 percent contained, while ravaging over 45,000 acres.
High temperatures of about 105 degrees in Bakersfield and the dryness of the flora of California due to drought, had acted as fuel propelling the fire, spreading it faster across the community.
People had been evacuated; with evacuation orders still placing some areas closed, and others lifted. Although some media reported that people returned back to some closed area.
We hope they continue to stay safe, while the firemen assume total control of the fire.
