Spot anything odd here?! This blue-throated keeled lizard has three tails, which researchers are putting down to a malfunction in its regeneration ability.

Though they may seem like unlikely friends, these two are actually very good pals. Suriya the orangutan actually adopted Roscoe the dog after she spotted him around the grounds of her nature reserve home, and when it was found the dog didn’t have an owner he was brought to live with his new primate pal.
3. Eight Legged Goat

This eight-legged goat kid was born to a farmer in Croatia, who no doubt had the shock of his life. ‘Octogoat’ also had both male and female sexual organs and perhaps unsurprisingly didn’t survive. It’s thought that the kid merged with it’s twin while in the mother’s womb.

Don’t worry – this photo isn’t what it looks like! These cute little piglets aren’t dinner for this tiger in Bangkok; she’s actually raising them!

5. Necrophiliac Lizard

This male black and white tegu is clearly a bit confused; though this may look like an ordinary mating scene there is actually one very big difference – his choice of partner is unfortunately dead. Necrophilia has been noted in lizards before, but this is the first recorded instance for this species.

6. Three Headed Frog

This mutant frog not only had three heads, but also six legs! It was spotted at a UK nursery in 2004 and it is thought it’s bizarre appearance could be due to parasites, pollution or just good old genetic mutation.

7. Elephant And Sheep Pals

After his mother died, this baby elephant was in need of a new mother. When another elephant couldn’t be found the wildlife reserve workers decided to try him with a sheep – and miraculously it worked! The pair got on great and have been inseparable ever since.

8. Teddy Bear Discovered

What’s special about this photo, other than the fact that this little animal is almost criminally cute, is that for twenty years the animal – known as an Ili pika, managed to avoid researchers. It was finally spotted in 2014 in the Tianshan Mountains of China.

9. Two Legged Dog
EXCLUSIVE: Faith the two legged wonder dog
When ‘Faith’ was born with only two legs due to a birth defect, her mother tried to kill her. She was adopted by a family who taught her to walk upright like humans, and she now gets around just fine!

10. Two Headed Snake

This bizarre-looking snake has a whole host of weird stuff going on; for a start, there’s the two heads, then there’s the fact it’s an albino and finally it has both male and female sexual organs. It lived in World Aquarium in St. Louis who bought it from its owner for $15,000 when it was just a few weeks old, and managed to live to eight years old.

When this serval kitten was born to a mother that could not produce milk, it was introduced to a dog mother who had just given birth. The mother dog accepted the kitten and nursed her along with the puppies – so it now has a family of canine pups to play with!

This two headed pig was named Ditto and became something of a celebrity before its death in 1998. It had to use a special walker to get around and wore a little helmet in case it fell over. Sadly it only lived for a few months after it was rescued by an animal sanctuary.

This photoshopped-looking lobster is actually very much real. Known as the calico lobster, it was found by a fisherman in New Hampshire – quite a catch considering the chance of finding one is around 1 in 50 million!

18. Urban Coyote

In 2014 it was found that around 2000 of the predators have adapted to living in downtown Chicago, though they remain elusive as they have learnt to go under the radar, out of sight from humans – making this photo a great shot!

19. Snake Escape

This weird photo captures the moment a live snake escaped from the jaws of a bigger snake after it swallowed it whole!

20. Giant Fish

This sea-monster-like fish washed up on a beach in California in 2015. Though it looks like some kind of weird sea serpent it’s actually a giant oarfish – a huge but harmless species.

Yep – it’s a real life unicorn! That is, a deer that had an extremely rare deformity causing one antler. It was found by a hunter in Slovenia and the scientist who verified its authenticity stated he had never seen anything like it before.
