That you are in the middle of New York City where there are uncountable skyscrapers and world-class facilities does not mean you are far away from nature. In fact, there are thousands of Parks in all the five Boroughs of New York City and many Forever Wild Nature Preserves. And almost all can be accessed with public transit.
Whether you are a tourist in New York, or you have been living in New York with your family, or alone, you can always treat yourselves good by looking up for the nearest park, where you are right now, and paying a visit.
Nothing would be memorable when you choose a Forever Wild Nature Preserve in any of the Boroughs, and go feel the warmth of the natural soil, see New York's native plants and animals, at the same time, accessing the world-class public facilities, nature centers, and follow the natural trails in them.
And for New York Parks, a lot of activities which can bring the family closer to enjoy a wholesome bond, go on here. You can check up incoming events associated with the parks, like intermediate canoeing, etc.
Parks are built in the communities and neighborhoods of New York, for recreations and relaxations with superb facilities, and everyone can visit them, irrespective of whether you are staying permanently or temporarily in New York.
