By Okechukwu Okugo
Heartmenders Magazine USA is condoling with all those who lost their loved ones and property in the series of hurricanes that caused historical destruction across the Caribbean and the United States etc. The likes of Hurricane Harvey that pummelled communities along the Gulf Coast of Texas, and Hurricane Irma that devasted Florida, sweeping through the Caribbean into the United States.
Undoubtedly, the devastation these severe storms caused was better imagined than experienced. Little wonder, the magnitude of shock and distress they left after its wake.
These hurricanes and others have affected thousands and thousands of people in different categories and ways.
We urge all to take solace for whatever loss they may have encountered because, no matter how bad, darkness would tarry but for a night. Then comes the dawn. Though the pains and misery encountered cannot just vanish in an instant, but we want you all to remember that pains don't last forever.

For the 10,000 people rendered homeless in the Florida Keys according to Florida's Governor, Rick Scott, in one report; we also have a message for you all: It may be hard, but be strong and be positive.
In Florida, we thank the National Guard, the Navy, healthcare workers and numerous other Organizations and people who trooped into the State, in the affected places, to help in various degrees, to curb the effects of Hurricane Irma, in the various humanitarian endeavors that were going on. Especially the Army Guards that moved to Florida from other States like Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Jersey, Pensylvania, Minnesota, Mississipi, South Carolina, and Wisconsin to help, right from the early days the hurricane struck.
Our hearts also go out to those affected by the ongoing Category 5 hurricane Maria which had hit Dominica today, Tuesday, September 19th. Associated Press had reported that this hurricane knocked out communication from the entire island.
We urge the international community to give urgent attention to the plea from Dominica's Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, who called out, "We will need help, my friend, we will need help of all kinds." According to the AP source, which also confirmed that, at least, "70 percent of homes had lost their roofs..." there at Dominica island.
And down to Mexico, our heart goes out to those who died in Central Mexico today, Tuesday, Septemeber 19th, as a 7.1 Magnitude earthquake struck, shaking buildings, and leading to some structures caving in, with the death toll rising up to 119 at the time of this report.
